The Guardians

Today's blogpost is going to be short .. and practical.

A professional tip from me.

I'm sure you've had favourite pieces of jewelry which have broken in the past.

Chances are they didn't have wire guardians.

These tiny pieces of metal may look flimsy, but they protect stringing materials.

Every time you wear a piece there's a lot of wear and tear through contact with clasps and toggles. Plus there's always the risk of the stringing material getting snagged on sharp-edged components.

You don't want to run any risks with your wedding jewelry - especially since you want to wear it for a long time after your big day. So if you're having someone custom-make it, ensure that they're using wire guardians on your necklace and bracelet.
